I'm sitting at the Xmtr. site, in Colfax, making sure the folks had a chance to watch BF (Brett Favre) play one more time...

The game's over and the Giants are on their way to getting their a55e5 handed to them by the Patriots...

Oh well...there's always NASCAR!!!!

Congrats to the Giants...they'll need all the luck anyone can give 'em...

I just want to see the Pats fall flat...but I'm not making that bet, with anyone's money, let alone mine...

I'm not spending a dime on Super-bowl boards or the like...

Maybe next year, if the Pack doesn't get to tore-up during the off-season...

Since FOX introduced the "glowing puck from h3ll" - Hockey has never been the same - no money from advertisers, sponsorships sucked...anything that Rupert imagined generating tons of cash from thin air never materialized so....

...no Hockey on TV.

Does WGN or TBS broadcast that stuff?

Ever since the "strike" - does anyone care?

Just curious...

I have to congratulate the Giants. Played a helluva football game, under adverse conditions. I thought we had it won, but the G men wouldn't go away. I didn't like the play calling by McCarthy, he abandoned the run too early. Game didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, especially considering my hatred for Eli. Go Pats.

That was definitely the more entertaining game yesterday. I didn't think Eli had another good game in him, but maybe he's made that turn (I wonder what Peyton thinks of his little brother's early successes?). The way Grant ran last week I was expecting large doses of him again this week.

I lost my voice screaming at the Pats game. It was cold, not GB cold though. The wind in the parking lot beforehand was brutal, 20-30 mph gusts which really tested the tent and the weights! Brady seemed to be uncharacteristically trying to force the ball in but against SD's secondary that isn't going to work. And I guess the Pats running game isn't as bad as many of the mediots professed it to be. Moroney seems to be running with quickness and power. Of course, he didn't see a whole lof of use until the second half of the season so he is still pretty fresh. Brady generally follows up a crappy game with a very good one. I hope that trend continues.

CT will be divided by the upcoming Civil War that is Super Bowl 42. Rt. 9 (and the diagonal line drawn from where 9 ends up to the NW corner) will essentially be the Mason-Dixon line. There are a lot of older Pats fans who were Giants fans before the Pats came into existence so it will be a true test of allegiance for some!

As a lifelong Pats fan, and 15 year season ticket holder, I'm in utter disbelief at the way this season has played out. Or the last decade for that matter.

14 pts. is a ridiculous spread for this game. The Pats are somewhere along the lines of 2-8 against the spread over the last 10 games. I'm hoping Belicheck will have some new and exciting defensive schemes for Eli and that Brady gets back on track.

3 pts. has been the margin in their past 3 SB victories. I'm thinking, and hoping, for 6 pts. this time around.

I too was surprised that the Gmen won that game. I never expected the NY passing game to work so well.

The Pats games I've seen this year tell me that NE coaches are quick to pull the trigger and try something else if their plan isn't working. The last 3 or 4 opponents took away Moss & Stallworth, OK, we'll give you a heavy dose of Faulk and Welker, and Moroney with the run. Course, they have more weapons than anyone else, so it's easier for them to do. But at least they adapt as the game goes on.

GB was way too pass oriented. And it took them the better part of three quarters to realize that Dreadlock Al couldn't compete with Burriss last night. Burriss impresssed me big time. I thought he was a softer player than that.

Disclosure: I am not a Giants fan. I stopped rooting for them when Y.A. Tittle retired.) Yes, I know, I'm old....

What a heartbreaking roller coaster of emotions that was, for fans of both teams. If you weren't a fan of either team, you had a great football game. I'm terribly disappointed in the result, but at the end of the day GB's defense kept them in the game, and the offense just couldn't move the ball. It was almost like they forgot what Packers football was - short passes and long yards after reception. It was unfortunate that Harris had so much trouble with Burress, just like he did with Owens in the Dallas game. But GB's red zone defense held up well - GB shouldn't have been in that game at the end, and we were.

I just hope this isn't the end for Favre. I'd hate to see him go out on an interception that cost the chance to go to the Superbowl. He deserves better than that.

I'll be a Giants fan come February 3rd (just like I was when they played Dallas). And I think that the Patriots are beatable. They only scored three times on San Diego. The Giants only lost by three last time around. The Jets held them to 20 points. The Ravens and Eagles only lost by a field goal as well, and both teams were in that game for the duration. I think it is possible for the Giants to beat them. Likely? No. But definitely possible.
