TAX Time

Just curious, who has filed already and who hasn't? I filed and my return is in the mail...wooohoooooooo. Of course the return will go in the bank and alittle something in the jewel box.

Not yet, I think our accountant is coming in the week of the 18th.

As much as I hate letting the govt. use my money for nothing, I think I should be getting a decent chunk of money back. My income was down from my primary job (thanks to the weather last year), I only worked a 1/2 year at my PT job (paid as a contractor, no payroll deduction)compared to full years in the past but kept my primary payroll deductions the same.

Any refund was spent 3-6 mos. ago.

Finished mine and took it to the friend that sends it in electronically for me Monday. If she filed it by the end of today (Wed), I should see the money show up in my account next Friday. Just in time, Gotta pay for the season tickets at the race track by end of month.

eFiling is sweet, our accountant started doing it last year for the first time. Nothing like checking your balance a couple weeks later and seeing a surprise in it.

Talking Filed

I mailed both the Fed and the State ones today, as I found that I'm getting a tiny refund from both. I try to keep it like that -- otherwise the Gov't. has the use of too much of my money during the year.

It'll go on either 2 tires for the Buick, or dental work for yours truly, or health issues for the cats. Whichever comes up first.

If a miracle happens and I don't have to spend it on those things, it can help out with a trip somewhere in May -- perhaps Portland, OR, or Albuquerque.

I'm going to wait until April because I'm going to have to pay a bit.

I think this year I'm going to pay 1/4 taxes.
