At the very least, he should have cut louvers in the barrels he used to make the hood.

I don't see even the slightest resemblence, of the Mercedes Race car. It looks more like "Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang", or the car from that "Jackie Chan" Disney movie," Around the world in 80 days" a few years back.

I love the line about the fact that the car is exactly fit to himself, and no-one else would fit in it correctly, so he "Can't" sell the P.O.S.

I thought the 2CV was worth far less than 10,000?

Doesn't look much like the real deal, I'm sure it's not as fast.

So what. More power to the guy. He could'a sat in his house feeling sorry for himself. Instead, he has a hot rod.

Interesting outcome....Good job on the build.....Kind of harsh on some of the comments, but they are after all opinions.

A Praise for his idea!

I cannot understand the comments posted.

He built the car for himself as a project using his skills and inginuety.

I think he achieved his goal.

To the naysayers, show us your project and let us decide if you achieved your goal!

YOU GOT IT!!

I don't care if he took a 1948 Crosley and mated it with a Goggomobil, it shows creativity. I may not like it but it's his to enjoy.

As far as opinions, they are like something else that everyone has....

Next time I go to the UK, I might look this guy up.
