Need a new cell phone...which one should I get?
I have had a razor for a couple of years. I really liked the phone, I just had it repalced three times becasue it did not hold up. What would be a similar size but a better product. I'm with Verizon.
Thanks. |

I'd get whatever they include free with the plan or thats cheap. I have had my Razr for 2 going on 3 years now, almost to the end of my contract actualy. Other then a few nicks it seems to be in good shape. The camra is dead, and it gets flacky sometimes, like when I used it to nail in a pin. But other than that its still good.
If you get something cheap, and nurse it to the end of your plan they will usualy give you a new phone if you renew.

check out the LG EnV
It has a full qwerty keyboard, 2 megapixel camera and accepts the micro SD chip for storing lots of music files.
I'm not a text message addict, but the full keyboard does make it much easier to load appointments in the calendar as well as to respond to the occasional text I do get. The Vcast software (extra cost availabe at the Verizon dealers) lets you rip your favorite CDs and transfer them to the phone. a 1 meg chip holds about 120 songs, and you can get at least a 4 meg chip at this time. It's great for long trips as well as my 45 minute commute. The bluetooth interface lets you see your entire collection of pictures and tunes on your PC (if it's bluetoooth enabled), and swapping files from the phone to the PC or vice versa is really easy. Many other phones do this as well, but the qwerty keyboard has turned a phone into a really functional personal organizer. it's a beefy phone, the only gripe is the flash on the camera tends to wash out most pictures when I use it. otherwise, picture quality is quite good.

I need one too, no text or internet necessary. I have a Razr but my kid over-opened the flip and no w the display is intermittent. I have had good luck with Motorola and they have some US production, so I'd like to stick w/ them. Also they have been durable after (only) 3 phones in 10+ yrs I can attest. I admit I could actually be happy buying a used razr from Ebay or elsewhere - I just figured that out. Hmmm. I think Ill check Motorola website for reconditioned.
Thanks - oops I answered my own question. I'm so smart Any other info/opinions?

uh, yes that's gigs not megs. The bitrate is probably fairly low, but when you're in a diesel thrashing down the road @ 65-70, the sound thru a pair of ear buds won't be concert-hall quality anyway.
