Mercedes 124

I have an interesting question, does a 210 5.5 v8 fit the old 124 engine bay, I have been offered a wrecked amg mostly complete and running

If the 124 had a V8 originally, I would say yes. If it had a 6, modifications would have to be made to the outer firewall. Now, whether it will ever run, is another question that the electronic gurus would have to answer.

satish over at motorwerks (called "Dr. Frankstein" by many - you've prob. seen his v12 560SEC) has a w124 coupe with an m119 sitting in it.


It's still getting work - but the v8 fits. MS or some other standalone will most likely have to be used...

Yes,, a 119 would be heaven. I have looked at my wifes' 400E and my TE for many hours with both hoods up,,,,,,
