He's an actor. Comes in very handy for scientological use.
On the other hand, a good example how celebrities throughout Western society have clearly gone nutso. But who's fault is it? If it is anyone's fault. It's the millions who are consuming what they are getting dished out. Whether it's Cruise, Winehouse, Spears, Hilton ... you name it. Just look at the kind of trash we're paying attention to, on a daily basis. Consumers are the supporters.

crazy or not.
Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. |

Absolutely. My interpretation of "Freedom of Religion" is to be free of religion. I keep it that way ...
Problem here is, some of the more traditional "religions" denounce Scientology from being a religion and categorize it as "brainwashing". I guess, the difference must be the washing solution ....

Seriously though,
I feel bad for those actors in a way. They have to hang out with people like Rosie O'Doneitall, Alec Baldfacedliar, Whoopie Goldigger, Leonerdo Dewhackjobrio, George Loonie, and the like. I'd go freaking nuts too. They've lost touch with reality, and when they can't take their pathetic, sheltered, caged lives, they either go totally nuts, or kill themselves with drug overdoses. They make a point to star in movies where they are gun toting heroes of the world, but in real life speak out against lawful ownershiop of firearms, have armed personal body guards, but rail against Joe Blow carrying his gun in his car on his way to work. They should all run for office, they all think alike and live the same lifestyle. No wonder Reagan fought against the commies as an actor, and continued his fight all the way to the wall. Seriously, what actor now days would have the balls to go against Hollywood and a cancerous government society like that now days, and take it all the way to the source, and crush the living hell out of it? Heck, most of these shoot 'em up actors are deathly afraid of guns, but they run around on screen making millions toting the same weapons their buddies in Washington are trying to eliminate by bankrupting the companies that produce them through frivolous lawsuits. Just about every James Bond actor other than Roger Moore was anti gun, Harrison Ford, Look at Jodie Foster. Just about every movie she stars in, she is a defenseless fragile female, that turns self sufficient ass kicker with a gun, then she gets to her little award ceremonies, and fundraisers and speaks out for banning the hell out of lawful gun ownership under the guise of diminishing gun violence. Screw those elitist Hollywood crack smokers. Smoke another one Tom Bruise. Last edited by cudaspaz; 02-12-2008 at 07:19 AM. |

Actors are just people. Because of their fame they get attention. That does not mean that any of their ideas have any more merit than you or I.
I can assure you that if some of us had the microscope turned on us it would look just as silly as Tom. He is a good actor but other than that, who cares what he believes? Tom W

Kind of poetic justice though, the universe balancing everything out and all that. You have incredible wealth and power, marry the hotest women around...and then you lose your mind. Tied 1-1. Did you see Jerry O'Connell's spoof version of Tom's video? Check it out, it's brilliant... http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/3f716ffebe

Most actors, and I've known many, are frontless, insecure morons who need and crave the validation of acclaim.
Pure empty vessels, ready to slit their own wrists from a perceived slight or a compliment gone awry. Give them something that convinces them they are special, chosen for great deeds, put on this earth since they are chosen to lead and you got'em hooked by the balls, whole secret behind any hucksterism............rotten bastards....... |

Plus they live in a world much different from the one the rest of us live in. They're probably catered to 24 hours a day by their handlers and so are pretty detached from reality to begin with.
