usually the SERT armored truck has a battering ram on the nose. So what they did was normal. In this case the home owner had a lot of crap in the way. In this event what SERT guy is going to clear his bird bath and patio furniture.. screw it.. the truck will move it

Meh, that's nothing. We've breached structures with our armored vehicles before in a much larger fashion than that. At least two that required demolition of the structures afterward. On one the only thing holding up the roof was the interior walls.
