Former H. Hefner MB Limos For Sale
Bored with your sensible car and fancy a little Playboy fun?
For a cool 330,000 [NZ$] you could travel Hugh Hefner-style in an original Mercedes Benz limousine, which includes a hydraulically operated reclining seat and glove box lined with pink fluff. Wellington property developer and collector David Blackwell is selling two Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman limousines - a 1969 and 1971 version - previously owned by the multimillionaire and Playboy magazine founder. The 6.3-metre long, six-door limos are almost identical - one has a black interior while the other has red. Featuring forward-facing seats, a refrigerated bar and a curtain for privacy, the 1969 version also has the private number plate "69". "They're quite collectable, even without the ownership history," Mr Blackwell said. After Hefner sold the limos separately, each went into private collections till Mr Blackwell bought the 1969 version in late 2003 and then six months later its 1971 twin. Mr Blackwell said he would like to keep them as a pair, but believed they would probably be split and bought by an overseas buyer. He was advertising the cars in Europe. "People like them because of their history." The 1969 limo comes with the original sales receipt from an Illinois car dealer, near Hefner's first Playboy mansion in Chicago, where he was born. Hefner moved to Los Angeles in 1974. 1969 Sales Link |

Eh, a little Simple Green and you're fine. That car is beautiful ... who cares what kind of wine has been spilled in it? That's what you were talking about, guys, right? Wine? Or did you mean champagne?
