I'll be out there at 10:01PM, with our current temps my belly will fully eclipse my jewel tool.

We had too much cloud cover to enjoy the view...

Around 8:35 CST, the clouds broke just enough to catch a sliver of a moon just prior to total eclipse. A pretty quick occurrence, as the moon was full a half-hour earlier...

Was really neat. The moon looked reddish brown at about 10:30EST. Apparently this won't happen again in my neck-o-the-woods until 2010.

I got a great look at the moon last night. It was cold and the sky was really clear. I hadn't heard about the eclipse, so I found it disconcerting to see half of the moon turn red.

I had a pristine view but with binoculars it was truly magical.

I run an observatory at the school I work at. We had an open house. There were about 100 people in and out throughout the evening. I thought that was pretty good considering it was below 0 out!

We got to see the eclipse in its entirety. It was quite spectacular to look at it through the 14" telescope! But it was nearly as spectacular just watching Earth's shadow engulf the moon!

When will we have another one?
