Is it that heavy? Best bet is to mod the C63 (the lightest chassis).

About as heavy as Hattie's W126, so it's definitely not extremely light weight I'd say a Lotus Elise is extremely light weight especially by today's standards.

It was coming into East Lansing that I saw it! We've seen the same car! Wow.

I know who's car it is now, he also has an SLR coming sometime this spring. It's funny you mentioned the car because the first time I saw it was during a blizzard and it was getting around pretty good and then I noticed it more and more..then yesterday I saw it at the Rite Aid and the owner was in the parking lot...speaking of lots he has LOTS of german cars and races cars...any guess's?

Who is he? Someone important? Or just a rich guy with lots of cars in East Lansing? Wow....an SLR. I need to see it! I'd love just to see one drive by at a raceway or drag strip or something. I want to hear that sound in person.

There use to be a time when manufacturers would hide and suppress the sounds. You didn't know an AMG was next to you until it disappeared with a poof in the horizon. But now those things are loud, deep and throaty. A little raspy too at full throttle. I heard an Audi S6 coming the other day and I thought it was a Subaru WRX STI which have had that specific sound for years.

I had never seen one in person nor heard one in person. You could hear and feel the low rumble/roar of the quad-pipe exhaust inside the car!! Only place I have seen them is on Top Gear on You Tube.

Just thought I'd share. Seeing one of those around here is a rarity. Most people with MB's around here are wealthy conservatives driving E320 soccer-wagons or Gray S500s. Boring...and there's not many of them.

There's quite few older MB's around here though.
While impressive on the street, these cars absolutely come alive on a track. Recently, I had the pleasure of being strapped into a Black Series (as passenger) for a bit of fun on a track - a total blast! The owner mentioned to me he was on his 3rd set of tires - at just 2,000 miles!

The wear rating on those sticky Pirellis is just 60
