Audi r8 diesel
I read today in the latest Road and Track that Audi is bringing the r8 out with a v12 turbo diesel and six speed manual. The engine will be based on the one used the last few years to win Le Mans.
I wonder if it is related directly to any of their production engines. Tom W

Wow...so few responses. I was reading about it at the Singaopre Airlines executive lounge in Korea 2 days ago.
I WANT one! A 500hp supercar with 24mpg?!

also has 748 ft. lb of torque.
That is half again as much as my dodge truck. My truck accelerates rather well weighing 7000#. I can only imagine what the audi with 3000 or so will do. tom W
