But I’d think he’d maybe have a statement that he would have filed (in house) with all his other paperwork, if not with the actual IRS package.

I wish I would have saved all the order receipts from the '70s, when I first started plowing money into the market. I used a company by the name of Omaha Discount Securities, in Omaha. Transaction fees were in the $40 range, as best I remember. Less than half of what the big boys were charging. In fact, I remember transaction fees that ran in the area of $120. What a rip! My, my......how times have changed.

Well, I could not find history on this stock in question. It was a REIT which went private last year. I have neither a buy nor a sell confimation. Since it isn't publicly traded anymore, I can't find historical data on it. Does anyone here know of a website where such information might still be available?

I have saved all kinds of crap over the years, including all of my monthly statements. Last year I got a heavy duty paper shredder and shreded all but the December statements of each year. Unfortunately, I later realized that I didn't have the December statements of a couple of years in my files. Guess which years? Yeah, one of them was the year I bought this REIT.

I'm working on my filing system. I will NOT let this happen again!
