Saturday Morning TV show from the 1960's...
I am so happy!!! I finally found information on a Saturday morning TV show I used to watch in the 60's. I have been asking folks for years if they remember a show about a base that dropped underground during attacks. The characters were puppets and slid down a large pole into the cockpit of the submarine.
Well, thank God for Google. "Stingray" Any of you old guys who were small kids in the 60's remember this show? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E06cNv55jTs&feature=related Cheap and cheesy British made show with horrible dialogue, but a blast from the past! There was a whole episode broken up into 3 parts on YouTube. Man have I wasted a lot of time on that today...... Whoa, just found another link to the old British made "UFO" show. Loved that also, and really had a 70's vibe! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8RfzkhqBLY&feature=related OK, OK, back to Diesel Discussion.........

Interesting, kind of like the original lost in space.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX2oZ6Kv_qo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E72SznGatOw When I was little I loved this show, Flipper, and Lost in Space. I used to wake up at like 5am, watch this cool science show, then Flipper. Ahh that brings me back. Remember Lassie? Another classic! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l457Eg33qJ4&feature=related

In the late 40's and early fifties we watched the serialized old westerns on Sat mornings: Tim Holt, Hoot Gibson, Bob Steele, Tim McCoy, Tom Mix, Tex Ritter, and Sky King etc. Then there were the non-westerns such as Don Winslow of the Navy, Tom Corbett Space Cadette, Hap Harrigan, Big Jon & Sparky, plus many silent B&W cartoons (like Flip the Frog). Have not seen any of these in probably 50 years.

There's a whole series if Gerry Anderson shows featuring "Super Marionation":
Fireball XL5 Thunderbirds Stingray Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons Supercar They're all excellent and feature superb model and set design. His "Space 1999" incorporated some of the same modeling combined with live actors. And yes, Tyler, Team America got the idea from the Anderson series...

Boy, this doesn't even sound vaguely familiar to me. I thought you were going to say something like Clutch Cargo.

Besides those Anderson series, I was a big Lassie, Flipper and Gentle Ben watcher. On the cartoon side it was:
BB/Roadrunner/WB series Herculoids Space Ghost Johnny Quest Archies/J-Pussycats Scooby Do Speed Racer Oh, and EVERY Sunday night at 7PM it was Disney! I also liked western series: Wild, Wild West Big Valley Rifleman

Anybody remember Speed Racer? I used to watch that sometimes. I saw a preview of a movie based on that recently.
