Getting very excited!

Next week I'm taking the SDL out to play! Not to drive yet to early, but I need to bring it to the tire shop to mount the new super wide Yoko's. I'm going to wait to drive it every day until like the 1st or 2nd week of April, unless the Jetta dies in the mean time; pretty good chance of that happening...

But on the way back from the tire shop I'm going to crank up the music, and blast down I95 at 120mph thanking the Lord that I am in a real car again. OMFG its going to be the absolute best to drive a proper car again. RWD, diesel engine under the hood, three pointed star on it. No longer will I be in the small exposed tin can, driving the Jetta on the highway sucks. Everyone is bigger and faster than you.

I can't wait to be in a REAL car again! The thunk of the doors, climate control, having comfortable seats, an arm rest, leg room, good sound system, good brakes, etc, etc.

Not having driven a MB in a few months makes me appreciate how good they are! Chances are after blasting down the highway I'll just say screw it and call the junkers and have them tow the VW away.

I realized I liked them the first 3 years, and the Bridgestones I wanted didn't do so well in the reviews and cost $150 more.

We really need to find you an adequate winter beater. I wouldn't recommend an X5 unless you plan to spend $5g's a year to keep it running.

How 'bout a Subi Outback? Wagon could come in handy.

I'm having withdrawls not having the diesel for 5 days.

C'mon, Hat. Spring is here and will officially be sprung in less than a week. Time to bring it out to play for the year. It even looks like the snow/mix storm they were forecasting for the weekend will pass to the south.

120 MPH? That would be against the law, Hat. You wouldn't think of exceeding the speed limit, would you?

I mean 120 on a race track, yeah a closed road course...yeah 100+ in a big car, with the high beams on...usualy wakes the moron on the minivan doing 75 up...its amazing how fast they move. It scares them even more if you come up on them really fast then hit the brakes at the last minute...

Next winter I have a 300SDL or a Passat with a Vr6 lined up. When I start making some money I'll buy myself a good winter car...a newer MB.

Cars are a waste of money I'm not going to spend a lot on a car for quite a long time.

Been there, done that. Wasted $$$$. My 2001 Passat got: european xenons complete with leveling motors, Porsche front brakes, wheels/tires,springs/shocks,sway bar, chip, exhaust and a host of other goodies. Took a beating on reselling everything when I traded it in. The 03 W8 got springs,BBS wheels, chip and exhaust only. The Benz will get what it NEEDS and if I land the "new" 03 W8 6 speed I'm working on, it will get only what I did to the last W8 and XM radio on top of that. Real estate is the new hobby..
