R.I.P. - Arthur C. Clarke
Arthur C. Clarke passed away today in Sri Lanka at the age of 90.
I can't think of any movie that was as ground breaking to me as 2001:A Space Odyssey when it first came out. He's also the first person to recognize the possibility and importance of geostationary satellite communications. This was back in 1945. The "Clarke Orbit" is named after him.
