Try renting a car with cash, hahha. Better yet, don't even try.

Just sayin' . . . .
Anybody who uses cash for anything is either a mobster or a terrorist!

Did it once... they want 2x the amount! They refund the difference when you bring back the car. At least that was how 'Hurts" did it back in the 1990's

I know that DFG in my area will not take fines in cash. They said it was a security issue. Lets see they had a safe and a impound room and they all had guns

Why not? How do I know the money you are giving my employee is not fake or stolen? How do I know that the money you give me is not going to be stolen? How do I know that the person bringing it to the bank will be safe?

The government has been trying to get rid of cash for years. Electronic transactions are their favorite. The can trace that easiest. (and monitor dynamically). They tried to get rid of $50 and $100 bills awhile back. Face it, they want to track every cent you make and spend (and tax both ends).

Well if you want freedom in computing then Microsoft (The Evil Empire, as I like to call it) - is a definite poor start. For years their only contribution has been vastly overcharging for underdesigned software... or at least, well-designed software with more bugs than it's worth to fight.

Yes, Leopard had some flaws... but they fixed them. I've been a Mac user since the Motorola 68k days... overall, they just WORK better.

Linux... it'd be great if installations weren't so daunting for inexperienced end-users. That's the only major factor keeping it from being a viable "Windows" replacement. Yes, it can be figured out... but if a few mundane tasks like that were made simple, it would have an edge.
