Off to the hospital

We shall return this weekend with a new daughter. Hence my absense from the forum lately.

JimmyL PMed me some advice today.
NOT to look down at 'ground zero' while in the delivery room under any circumstances.
Scary stuff...

Why do they call it "ground zero"?

If the doctor has to cut, make sure he puts an extra stitch back in, if you know what I mean.

Could you elaborate why?

I will say that I watched every bit of each of my five children's births. Its not that bad, but I am not squeamish at the sight of blood. If you are you will have trouble.

The most amazing thing is that the business end of a lady can stretch so much!

Be more amazing if she doesn't stretch out though.

Congrats! I'll have a whisky in your honor. All four of ours ended up taking the express route via C-Section and that was more than I wanted to see although I did peek at the kids each time once the docs pulled them out. I'm not sure I'd want to see much either way other than the end result.
