Back in the 70's I had a Blue/black '69 Mach I and my best friend had a Pumpkin Orange '70 Mach I. I had the Windsor and he had the Cleveland. I remember how much bigger his valve covers looked.
However, I could simply run off and leave him, and it wasn't close. I just had a stock intake and the stock Rochester carb and headers. And the loosest frontend I've ever driven! It was an automatic and would smoke the tire in second. It wouldn't chirp, you could just hear it whooshing. I had a really clean second '69 Mach I that I was going to use with the engine from the other, but sold the white one {2 bbl} and traded the blue one for a motor cycle. Doh!!

I googled and it was the '95 Cobra R that had a 5.8L. It read a post saying only 250 were produced.

The ultra high revving 302 transam engine had small block and cleveland heads, essentially, IIRC. Didn't they call them tunnel ports?
The first year of the transam 302 Had such big ports that they reduced them the next year IIRC except in actual racing applications. Tom W
