Got my son his first dog today....

We go to the local Humane Society at least twice a month. We go to checkout what they have and pet the animals and to donate what is needed. Today we saw a puppy that was found wandering the streets. We gave in and took him home. So far I am overwhelmingly impressed. Very loving and trusting dog. Likes to play and gives kisses. My son said it was so cute that we should call her Cutie. So we did.

This is Cutie.

Is Cutie a male or a female? If male I think I'd fine another name....

Looks like he/she has a bit of Springer Spaniel in their bloodline?

What's wrong with Cutie? Do you think a dog is going to be upset if you don't call him Killer, or Fido or Rex? Just about the only thing most dogs want to be called is for dinner.

Sorry I didn't catch that. The dog is a girl.

Sweet! You know you'll never get the dog trained to do anything, or, the dog will have many habits that might be considered innappropriate by some. My kid has trained my dog to sleep in bed with him, for example. They keep the monsters away.

That puppy is adorable! Looks like a great find, for you, your son and the pup. Puppies and kittens found wandering in the streets are always the best ... that's where my cat came from.
