Exclamation Heeeeeeeelp need a GOOD autotransport

I am shipping a car to Washington and a F*&%%^^& shipping broker just called to "offer me an alternitive" in other words, he can't fulfill his quote or promised pick up time...*********..

I told him the art of doing an estimate is to make sure you can do it before quoting, what a dick.

I shipped my Impala SS from Florida to NY with these guys in an enclosed trailer. It took a week and cost 700 dollars.

I see their trucks all over the place. If that means anything, they must be fairly good.

You get what you pay for and if I were shipping an Enzo I would use Horesless Carriage...but I'm not. They want over 3K while most bids are about $1000.

Now that you mention it, all the cars I have seen them transporting looked like a $3K fee was probably peanuts for their owners . . .

It was under a grand to ship my car, but that was back in '99...
They DO take great care with them. The SS was so large that I almost had a heart attack as it was taken from the top level of the trailer, but it came down without a scratch. The car only had 14K on it so I went the extra few bucks for a closed trailer. Ithink it would have been under $500 for an open trailer.

Three words: Dependable Auto Transport (DAS)
http://www.dasautoshippers.com/

I've used them a few times. No problems, great service and competitive pricing.

I think thats where I'm going, at least they will not make a spectacular promise they said "more than likely" on my time frame but "things happen" which is an acceptable answer.

Another vote for DAS (dependable). Shipped a miata and Gustav during major fires in San Diego - no issues.
