Good books?

Anyone got any ideas for a good read? Lately I have been on a book fit, and I read the Godfather, and The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell. Now I need a new one. Anything anyones read and couldn't put down? I'd be interested as long as it's not english literature like Pride and Prejudice or something like that. As cultured as that might make me, I just can't make it through a book like that.

If you like history, Legacy of Ashes, a history of the CIA is pretty interesting. It's by Tim Weiner.

Well, Hitler & Co. were pretty interesting, and came way too close to succeeding in their quest for world domination.

The Source by James Michener is a favorite of mine.

The Wild Blue by Steve Ambrose is a great - albeit quick - read.

1776 by David McCullough is fascinating stuff as well - author had essentially unrestricted access to all of Gen. Washington's papers.

Ditto. I love Vonnegut's books. Walker Percy is very good, too.

I've got that sitting at home. Pretty good. If you're into Neil Gaiman, the Sandman graphic novel/comic series is a must.
