Welcome.

I am pretty sure I may have had a brief colloquy (on Schuman's) with you about a love of coffee so great you would go to San Francisco to get it, and as a 2nd gen native of there, I threw in with an opiinion.

As Terry said, there is a VERY high concentration
of truly committed older Mercedes Diesel and gas freaks on here, particularly the W123 models (like yours) W124 and W126 from the Bay area to Sacramento, and they meet in person in real time, once in a while.

It IS possible to run a Benz on a budget especially if you can pick up a wrench without being charged with a felony.....:D

We had over 23 old Mercedes the other weekend on our trip referenced above, and everyone had a great time, even a few from So Cal came.

The link on page 3 by murdoc of that thread references the NEXT area meet, which may be in the South Bay area.

The dates are July 19, tentatively, and with July 26 as a backup.

A benefit is that many of us regularly go to the pick "n" pull yards, which is where our meets often end up, and many are very wired in to the latest junkyard arrivals

I am in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area, in Southern Nevada County (not too far from Highway 49). Prior to that, pretty much a lifelong San Franciscan

Don't forget the Diesel Discussion Section on here. It is probably the busiest forum on the net for the W116, W123 and W124 Diesels there is.

It is busy 24/7

Welcome to the forum. On May 8th there is going to be a dozen 113's and a gaggle of pontoons running around the gold country.

You will like it here.

Not only that, there are REAL good people here to meet, in REAL life, and in REAL time, from here, a goodly number of them from right here in Nor Cal.

Sacramento is pretty much ground zero.
