anybody have source for quality rawhide shoe laces?
 

I have used rawhide shoe laces for all of my casual shoes for decades. The last five years or so I can't find any good ones anymore. Put in a new lace and in two or three months it breaks. I have taken to robbing old shoes I don't wear any more for laces that won't rip.

The old ones used to last for years.

Anybody know a source of good ones like the olden days?

Do you mean the thick tanned leather laces or real rawhide. Tandy sells rawhide lace. It may be wide, so you'll have to cut it.

I guess I don't know the difference. I have some that are dark brown, and some that are yellowish brown on the cut edge with dark brown on the other two edges. I don't know of any that need cutting. I don't think I want to cut my own laces.
