The mayor and city council have caused enough embarassment to the city of Detroit. They have taken a city rich with history and have proceeded to flush it down the toilet.

Coleman A Young, probably would've have beat him to death with one of the many signs adorned with "Coleman A. Young - Mayor" that could be found within 60secs of looking for said sign.

As Coleman once said there ain't no gang problems in Detroit, I got the biggest gang the DPD

The best was when I think it may have been the city council was considering changing the nickname of the city from Motown and Motor City to the D! They were saying that it would portray the city in a more professional manner and bring in new business because they feel the city is missing out because it being know as the Motor City and Motown

I wonder the the governor will grow some balls and take control. There is no way business will return/come to Michigan if we have the family members of US Congress acting like high schoolers.

Crime author Loren D. Estleman writes private-eye stories, and period pieces about crime, all set in Detroit and Michigan. The way he makes the place sound (like New Orleans with snow), I'm surprised the Chamber of Commerce hasn't ordered a hit on him.

I guess he keeps living in MI because of the great material it affords him.
