My Benz Is Dying!

So today my 94 E420 came back from the doctors and i got a bad report after check engine light and knocking coming from the engine. My crank shaft sensor is destroyed, and he has no clue on what the knocking is so the benz is probably going to be putt to sleep (sell it or drive it till it dies) but i'll be getting a diff benz some time soon. in the mean time, looks like im gonna be getting close to my jeep. but im look at a red 95 C-class. so any one interested in selling any of there MB's? $4k and under dont care about miles, no diesels, no wagons just sedans and coups.

Hey, you're in Champaign, huh? Someone just had a very nice looking C-series sportline on the C-U Craigslist. United Auto Center in Champaign also has one, I think. Who diagnosed your knock? Why not try replacing that sensor first? Let me know if you decide to get rid of your car. I might be interested if you want to unload it!

If you're considering a W202, I might suggest not going older than the '98

Replace the CPS; takes 15 minutes. Effects timing. You might want a new mech too.

Post if you're going to part it out. What color is the interior?

the w124 has 168kmiles, white, minor rust from bicycle falling on door (stupid garage lol) uhm, its been returned to stock, I had a suspension kit on there (yellow konis with H&R lowering springs) hmmm....interior is in mint. no AC, engine has odd knocking which would be $500 to find out what it is, most likly nothing minor, stock rims, all bumpers/fenders in mint, uhm adult driven exept me, but i have not done anything wreckless or abbusive. anything else you would like to know? of and im getting the crank shaft sensor replaced $325. it kept randomly deing and then not starting up. but thats getting fixed. so the only thing that would worry you is the knocking.

$500 seems low, but it is in engine wise in no0t good condition, but at the same time the body is in almost mint lol. In my dreams i would let it go for $1000. but im not sure if thats realalistic.
