Envision TV tuner broke - help!
 

What a piece of junk!!
I was changing the cable, and the cable connector on the TV tuner twisted off and broke. It is as simple as soldering the broken piece of metal to fix this?

Replace "F" fitting
 

I have repaired dozens of these in my previous life as a TV shop owner. Go to your local TV shop or maybe Radio Shack, get a new "F" fitting and carefully sweat it on with solder. There is just one wire to connect to the center conductor. You may have to extend that wire. If it is impossible for you to do, you can use the video inputs on the TV and use the tuner on your cable box or VCR.

Thanks, mauikurocat (maui black cat?). Yes, I have a Radio Shack closeby, and I'll get the part. Did seem like it twisted off all to easily, very surprised how easily it twisted off. So this appears to be a common issue and not just with the Envision monitors.

Edit: this connection piece broke off a TV tuner module that slides into a monitor. Monitor has vga to accept the coaxial cable basically. Maybe I'll try the vcr route, if that doesn't look right, I just use the envision for a 3rd monitor.
