Saw my First Tornado

I was just headed out of the grocery store, when someone came in yelling the tornado was right here. Sure enough, it was. My prayers go out to the victims, already 1 confirmed dead, and over 200 injured. I"m glad I wasn't on the road.

I didn't hear anything about that. Glad you didn't get hurt, Tony.

Thanks. The 1 that was supposedly confirmed dead is not, and that's great news. If it were not for my Mercedes addiction, we would be living in the neighborhood that was in it's path. Lots were too small for a second garage, so we passed.

In March of 2000 a tornado came through DFW. According to the path shown on RADAR after ward, it bounced over my house.

I had never been so scared in my life. I thought there was a good possibility that I was not going to make it. The wind was in credible. I heard the house being pelted with debris and then all of a sudden .... nothing. Dead silence. Then I heard people talking out side. Lost some fence and a few shingles off the roof. Some houses a few blocks away were hit very hard. The municipal airport 5 miles from my house got hit pretty hard.

Scares the crap out of me every time I see storm walls headed our way. Went through that once and that was plenty.

I saw the pictures in the Post this morning. It's a good thing you're into Mercedes, Tony. Obviously there are untold benefits to our obsession . . . .
