Auto Protectants

I have a question about auto protection products. We have a new vehicle and the dealer presented us with these products. What recommendations do you have?
1) 3-M Scotchcal plastic hood, fender, o. s. mirror and door edge protection.
2.) Diamon-Fusion glass protection.
3.) Strike Force I, II and III - Exterior Protectant, Vinyl and Leather, and Fabric and Carpet Protectants.

as for number one dont get it. I would get the 3M Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film, this is like a clear vinyl sticker that goes over the front end of the car and protects it from rock chips and bugs. this is really good stuff. the film doesn't oxidize and you can barely tell its even on there. number two I would just use rainx instead of that other stuff. Number three 303 protectants and if you choose you can scotchguard your carpets.

None of the above. I'm sure that they're wildly overpriced. In regard to the interior protection, go to Pep Boys, buy a few cans of Scotchgard and follow the directions. That's what the pimply-faced kid in the dealer prep department will do. For $250.

Skip the dealer and have an independent detail shop do the work. However, the only one I'd bother with is the hood, mirror etc door protection.

Wax and polish the car every spring/fall and it'll look sa-weet. :)
