I picked up my copy this morning for the PS3 and played it for about 30 minutes this afternoon. My for my initial evaluation, I'd say the game is going to be awesome! The only thing I don't like so far is that the game play seems way too dark, especially at night. I tried adjusting the brightness and contrast which made it better, but not perfect. Also, the graphics are a little blurry compared to the screen shots that have been circling the net for a year now. I feel like I need to wear glasses again. Looking froward to hours of fun this evening! Anyone else get a copy?

I'm starting to look at PS3s mow. I have been waiting for GTA4 to come out. By this time, I'd think most of the bugs have been worked out of the early generation PS3s.

get an 80 gig they are the only ones that will play ps2 games. sony is shipping out a shipment in a couple of weeks for them.

I got the PS3 and the 360....



The 360 is better.....




But, for this, with the fact that it can do HD, I wanna get it for my PS3.

I'd never buy an Xbox 360 on the sole basis of that terrible controller they designed. The Sony controllers are just classicly comfortable, remind me of my old Sega.

My friend is going to get it for his console so I will use his since I am far to cheap to actualy buy the game or console.

All the previous GTA games have been awsome, so this one should be good to!

no just the newer ones have this. the older release date ones all play ps2 games.

the US 20 and 60 gig models will play any game you throw at them, the 40 gig will not play ps2 games at all, the 80 gig will play most ps2 games (uses emulation)

I picked up gta4 on launch night and it is INSANE! it takes some getting used to and there are some minor niggles but overall this is a brilliant game, and the multiplayer will continue to keep my occupied hundreds of hours into the game.

Ah! Okay, I thought you meant like a firmware update or something. I wonder why that is? One of their selling features is backward compatibility. Seems like bad business to take it away,,, then bring it back.
