New 300Dt Owner

Hey guys, been looking for the right 300 D for quite a while, finally found it. It's an 84 300dt with 160k on the clock, lots of work done to it a few cosmetic issues to fix, but I already love it.

Perhaps you want to post the pics in the Diesel Discussion?

Yea I was going to take pics today but the weather is terrible here in south florida. I think the PO frequented this site cause he gave me URL, so you may have already seen pics lol. I'll snap some tomorrow if the weather improves.

Welcome to the family.

First things to do are to go to mbca.org and join the MB owners club. Attend the local events and you will meets lots of people who share the obsession.

Next learn how to search on this site. use the google search feature and look for W123 (your car's model) OM617 (your car's engine) and 300D. You will be surprised at how much information there is here.

Post your questions and ask for explanations. We were all newbies once and understand ignorance. In time you will learn.

Oh two things...

DO NOT post any "what oil should I use" threads without reading the 100000000000 posts on oil ( the folks here are VERY sensitive about oil threads)

DO NOT post any Veggie oil is better than Diesel or vice versa threads without reading the 1000000000 posts on that subject. (same reason as above)

Now that you have the ground rules so to speak, I welcome you again
