$360 billion check

FORT WORTH, Texas - Charles Ray Fuller must have been planning one big record company. The 21-year-old North Texas man was arrested last week for trying to cash a $360 billion check, saying he wanted to start a record business. Tellers at the Fort Worth bank were immediately suspicious , perhaps the 10 zeros on a personal check tipped them off.

Fuller, of suburban Crowley, was arrested on a forgery charge. He was released after posting $3,750 bail.

Fuller said his girlfriend's mother gave him the check to start a record business. But bank employees who contacted the account's owner said the woman told them she did not give him permission to take or cash the check.

In addition to the forgery count, Fuller was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon and possessing marijuana. Officers reported finding less than two ounces of marijuana and a .25-caliber handgun and magazine in his pockets.

Well after reading the complete story I understand why he was thinking that he could cash a BILLION dollar check. AND there was probably more than 2 ounces of pot before he put this brilliant plan into play.

OK. So if you somehow believed that the bank wouldn't question this kind of transaction, why would you still carry these items into a bank?

Taken all together, I think his reasoning is perfectly understandable.

g/f mother says he didn't have permission to cash the check. Did she give it to him to play with?? Did he add the zeros to a $360 check?? I smell a guy with about a 25 IQ. And an acquittal.

Did he want cash? Even in $100 Bills that is quite a bit of luggage.

If I had a brick of $100 bills handy, I'd weigh it.

But I don't think this can be correct. I think you are saying a brick of hundreds is $400K. At this rate, $10 million in hundreds would be 25 bricks and would weigh around 225 pounds.

There have been two multi million dollar armored car heists in the Carolinas in the past 15 years. One was just under $10 million and the other was, I believe $18 million. In each case, a gang of thieves with full size passenger vans was overwhelmed by the amount and weight of the cash and left millions behind becausee they were too tired to move it or ran out of room.

If I win the Powerball ($192 million right now), I'll insist on the winnings in bricks and I'll get back to you with the answer.
