100+ mpg, in your car ?

Okay...start pulling this apart. Need a lot of critical input.

I'm still trying to work out what's going on here.

Everything about it, nothing they wrote has any bassis in reality. From how a cat works and what it does, to their mystery 318 test.

Someone smoked a joint, wrote some BS, and is trying to make money off it cashing in on PT Barnum's sucker principle.

Is that the cat that turns gas into liquid hot plasma? Put me down for one of those, a Fitch fuel catalyst and a tornado. I will have a perpetual powered Ford Granada in no time.

I'm still trying ot patent my spring loaded car. Biggest obstacle, is trying to find someone willing to wind the thing up in the morning.

"When they shut off the engine, the researchers reported that it coasted on the plasma for another two minutes."

Enough said.

I have an article from an issue of Special Interest Autos that goes deeply into the subject pf the Pogue--200mpg carburetor. The Pogue device was an actual device, but never achieved anywhere near 200mpg--that was a claim by some newspaper guys, and it stuck.
The article concluded that "some people want to be taken advantage of"
They even addressed the reports and suggestions that "oil companies" bought up the patents, and rejected them based on interviews with Mr. Pogue, himself.
It is interesting to see this same stuff come up again, and again.

Not really, excess plasma goes into the anti-matter holding tank right next to the dilithium crystals and flux capacitor.

Silly me.

Wait, what if I used a cold vaporizer (Ie Vicks vapor for colds) and filled it with gas under the hood. would I get the calculated 3000 miles per gallon my "Save the forests" calculator suggests?

Actually, ultrasonic fuel atomization would probably be a more plausible solve to fuel economy issues.

These devices play on the fact that a gasoline engine is about 30% efficient. Most people take that to mean that only 30% of the fuel is burned, and thus if you can burn more of it, you will go much further on a gallon.

Of course, this is not even close. Modern engines burn over 98% of the fuel. When they run poorly and burn less of it, the cats are going to be killed.

The only way to get more miles out of a gallon of fuel is to reduce the waste heat generated by the engine. None of these schemes ever mention waste heat.

Spot on! A perfect internal combustion engine will output one-third mechanical force, one-third waste heat and one-third exhaust heat and pressure. The energy from the fuel is inefficiently displaced to other less desirable forms however most of the fuel is throughly combusted. Although only one-third of the fuel is tunned into mechanical energy; most of the fuels energy is well spent by the time it leaves the exhaust.

Turbine engines however, effectively take this waste heat generated from combustion and utilize it by exciting excess air molecules and therefore building pressure creating power in the form of thrust. I personally believe the internal combustion engine will phase out over the next 30 years for more efficient combustion processes.
