OK, post your craziest local grocery store name...

I got to thinking that around the country there are some pretty funny local grocery stores with cute names.

Here's a few around here:

Piggly Wiggly
Food Lion
Harris Teeter (not so funny but we call it "Hairy Tweeter")

What are some of yours?

Although they're not in the grocery category I have a few in my area that make me chuckle...

Cluck-U Chicken (take out chicken chain)
Kill Em Yourself (local pest control supply)
Canal Cleaners (local dry cleaner with "parking in rear" added as a bonus)

in the non-grocery class. A sign for a business I saw in 1980 just outside the tunnel from Logan field for an auto graveyard: Midnight Motors. Where I came from, that was the name given to late night parts gathering. As in: hey you need a new Holley carb? Some guy over on 4th st. just put one on his Chevy. be sure to bring the correct size wrenchs.

Daughter had never seen a Piggly Wiggly before. She did snap a picture of one when we went to SC one time.
There is a Food Lion just down the road from me.

Grocery stores are pretty normal here - Loblaws, Loeb, etc. Nothing too crazy.

I saw a great sign outside of a local country bakery though...it read -

"You need bread? We knead dough!"

Piggly Wiggly is about as strange as it gets here and there motto "Shop at the Pig" Texas had an odd one H E B, then it was explained the original owners name was Henry E Butt so the initials made sense.

There is a restaurant near Houston, TX where the owner sez
"Come eat here before we both starve!"

Interesting. The only HEB store I saw was in the mid-cities area of DFW...also known as HEB, for Hurst, Euless, and Bedford. I didn't know it stood for anything else until I saw an HEB in Austin!

I while back I was traveling for work and came across a Jitney Jungle grocery store.

In clear Water Florida I saw a sing for a pottery shop called We’ve Gone To Pot was the name of the store.

Thai Me Up: Thai restaurant in Decatur, GA

HyVee: Grocery store that used to be in Iowa and other parts of the midwest, not sure if it's still around.

JuJu's: A discount store I saw in downtown Newark, NJ about ten years ago.

Just Mo' Barbecue: I can't for the life of me remember where this is located.

Big Y (for it's childish connotation for the general area around a women's private area aka the big V). Compared to Stop & Shop, Walbaum's, Aldi's, Shop Rite, Price Choppers and Stew Leonard's that's about as crazy as it gets.
