I think I live near to that very car.

You understand that I know how you feel about these. I don"t blame you at all for wanting this.

Thing of it is, I may know that seller!!!

That is right, it could be...because, there is a BONDAVI from around there who is on another forum for Mercedes and he is heavy into the W126 cars and I have been in touch with him, he lives down by Sacramento, and I live up the hill from there, if it is him, we are about 35 miles from each other.

I could maybe quarterback this one for you if you want to b uy it, it is the same guy with the Mercedes, and it might be, but if so, I never knew about this car.

I have a good reputation there, and in fact a moderator over at that other place.

Let me know. pm or here.

Volvo

Jim,

Thank you so much for the offer, but I'm going to try to resist on this one as my driveway is begining to look like a used car lot. At least they are all tasteful cars. I actually own a car very similar to thing in silver, thought I do prefer the darker gray that this is. This car is a year older then me, my 245 TI is a 1984 model wich is the same year I was born so it is kind of cool in that respect. I might get in contact with the guy and find out more about the car, and If I'm really impressed I might have to take further action.

Thanks again, I just wanted to point out a car that caught my eye, and I will let you know if weakness gets the best of me.

Fair enough! Just let me know if you wish to take this to the next level.

Let me know if you'd like me to go take a look at it, or help in some way.

With just 2 cars my hands are full, with them, so I don't need any more. I hear where you are coming from.

.....but, it is sure a sweet looking 245 isn't it. It has been loved.

Not to insult him, I think that he is going to be sad to repalce that car with a S60. While I thought that they were nice looking cars, I feel as if you can't beet a wagon for being a great pratical car. I recently drove mine up to Portland Oregon and bought a complete interior for my 1983 633csi and got 25MPG. That is great for a car with 235,000 not to mention it abilty to haul nearly everything I need.
