Eighteen kids!

Jeez where do they find the energy? What if you had eighteen kids?

Duggar family expecting 18th child
Mother's Day will be a full one for Michelle Duggar, 41, pregnant with her 18th child.

Tribune wire services

9:52 AM CDT, May 9, 2008

It's a happy Mother's Day for an Arkansas woman -- she's pregnant with her 18th child.

Michelle Duggar, 41, is due on New Year's Day, and the latest addition will join seven sisters and 10 brothers. There are two sets of twins.

"We've had three in January, three in December. Those two months are a busy time for us," she said, laughing.

The Duggars' oldest child, Josh, is 20, and the youngest, Jennifer, is nine months old.

This is disgusting. They are probably religious kooks. These are the kinds of people that go for "home schooling" too.

That is just plain irresponsible. The concept of "thinking" clearly eludes them.

They say it's about $200,000 to raise a kid from 0-18. That'd be $3.6 million total.

Of course I'm sure they make do with less. But if you have the means and enjoy children, why not?

Kuan, you and I both know this family doesn't have the means.

Guess I'm not good at playing devil's advocate. Can't wait and see what AK has to say.

I'll bet that they pass down clothes a lot, that would save some money.

This is probably the husband's theme song.

Hey wait a second. They all look well fed, well dressed, and it looks like they live in a pretty nice house.

It is crazy, my wife emailed me a link too. She used to watch the show in utter disbelief. The kids are all unbelieveably well behaved and helpful (programmed), hell my 4 are probably more of a handful than their 18. I'm sure they're getting something for doing that show so they know how to market themselves.

More sperm than brains... only in Arkansas!

Only rabbits and rats produce young at that rate!

Do you suppose he would ask how it looks, and if it looks good, he would hit it *another* 18 times?

I don't have much to say really. The mention of hot dogs down a hallway would be inappropriate. After all, with 18 kids under her belt, I'll bet she has to wear a diaper or the kid will just fall out if she isn't careful. No need for an Ob-Gyn. You could probably reach in and pluck it out.

Not interested. I could probably walk in and say "Hello" and hear an echo in the chamber I would be in.

I read somewhere the expression about that is also

"You could ride a motorcycle up to the end of it, make a U-turn and come out smelling like a rose"
