Powell always strunk me as being a consensus builder. He also seems like one who keeps his head in a crisis. Both are excellent qualities for a president to have. Unfortunately, he also seems to have the good sens to stay out of all of that.

Charlie Rose strikes me as a man with pretty decent integrity.
Collin Powell if we are talking realistic options.

I thought this was more appropriate for this thread than for the joke thread:

Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Mc Cain were
flying to a debate.

Barack looked at Hillary, Chuckled and said, 'You know I could throw a $1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy.'

Hillary shrugged her shoulders and replied, 'I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy.'

John added, 'That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of the
window and make a hundred people very happy.'

Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his copilot, 'Such big-shots back there. I could throw all three of them out of the
window and make 156 million people very happy.'

I'm voting for the Pilot

Let's stick to reality. The choice is Obama or McCain...

Looks like the obvious choice is McCain.

Obama's lack of experience is frightening.

I was all set to give the Democrats my vote this time around. Unfortunately, they just don't seem to be able to come up with a viable candidate. I'm not so sure McCain is the best one for the job either, but there's just not much to pick from.

If not my dad. Then Jimmy Buffett.

(They are pretty much the same guy, either way.)

I'd vote for your dad. I'd vote for him as long as Chuch wasn't running.

Yep...
Sometimes you just have to settle with knowing that most anyone has to be better than who we got now.

(Say what you want folks. Take your shots. But, I'm not getting into anything beyond that.)

Just curious. Why would you give them your vote? Isn't it supposed to be that you see what they field and vote for the LOTE?

I have doubts about him too but I don't see a better or worse candidate. Just more of the same with a slightly different flavor

As WVO pointed out, anything has to be an improvement over what we have now.

I actually think the Obama guy will be just fine. He appears to be cool, calm, and collective. Willing to reason and negotiate, not jump head first without looking at whats below, unlike our current cowboy chief. What we don't need is another stubborn, arrogant, and decieving minded CIC.

If it's a really dirty job . . . how about Mike Rowe?
