My Reality

I'd always thought I was a member of the middle-classes, but after seeing this 'pillow' my reality changed and I realized I was a member of the lower-classes.

I just wrote a check for 7500 gallons of AvGas.
I’ll have to wait ‘til next month for the sham.

NOT !!

Wow.... $2K for a couch pillow??? I don’t get it.
Around here, those are the first things to be tossed to the fake wood laminate floor when it’s time to sit down.

Fabric is very, very expensive, and I didn't fully realize this until a recent move. If you think pillows are expensive, try out $8K for one set of drapes. Lampshades? Rugs??? Outrageous bucks.

The most expensive furniture I used to own were my two antique leather club chairs and matching ottoman. Now they are the cheapest.

Yeah, apparently an average planning decorating budget to replace 2/3 of your old chit when you move including new paint, fabric and furniture is around 12% of the value of your home excluding commissions.

Yep and everyone skimps on that. They stretch so much to buy the house that its like empty.

I have been in big homes, $700k homes, that people have lived in for 5 years that look like they just moved in.

The house we bought had a $70K kitchen, a leather couch, a bed and a big screen TV in it when we first began looking at it----and nothing else.

Hattie, is $700k considered an expensive home in your area? I just talked to a man in Philly who bought a house for $900,000 and they have to put $400,000 into it before they can move in.

New Haven and north of New Haven I guess can be real low compared to Fairfield county. What am I talking about ,I can't even afford a $75 house lol

If you can buy a python pillow or cocaine, you have too much money.
