gotcha,

When a Republican says something its a "Freudian Slip", when a Dem does something stupid its a mistake or misinterpretation.

Oh and if I'm not mistaken Huckabee lost the primary, so why is is relevant?

Demos do the same. However, this one betrayed a possible malicious intent. I mean why else would it pop so readily to his tongue?

Yeah, he lost but he's in line for wanting to be VP and I doubt we've heard the last of him, though more likely now.

I don't think so. It popped to his tongue because he's addressing the NRA (according to the podium label) and they don't like Obama for his perceived gun control positions.

Good point. Obama has made it clear that he has absolutely no problem with people keeping guns for hunting and protection. Like many others, he'd like to see fewer guns in the hands of young gangstas.

How to pull that off is where the debate begins.

Legalize recreational drugs, and there will be no money to support the young ganstas.

Barach Obama was a paid member of the Joyce Foundation board of directors 1998-2001.

Since 2003, the Joyce Foundation has paid grants totaling over $12 million to gun control organizations[10][1]. The largest single grantee has been the Violence Policy Center, which received $4,154,970[10] between 1996 and 2006, and calls for an outright ban on handguns, semi-automatic and other firearms, and substantial restrictions on gun owners.[13]
Gun rights groups including the National Rifle Association call the Joyce Foundation an activist foundation whose "shadowy web of huge donations" leads "straight to puppet strings that control the agenda of gun ban groups".[14]

First of all, serving on a grant maker's board doesn't contradict his stated positions regarding hunting and protection. He did not run the Joyce Foundation, he was one member on the board. He did not run the Violence Policy Center. He had no say in the Violence Policy Center positions. A grantmaker is not a shadowy web of anything. It is easy to find out where grantmakers make grants. Grantmakers make grants for all kinds of things. You can find grantmakers who support people who like horses. I suppose you could characterize them as an equine activist foundation whose shadowy web of donations leads straight to anti-glue manufacturing animal rights activists, but you'd be about as ridiculous as the NRA.

You're White.
You're Republican.
You're under the microscope - all the time. No time off. No hazard pay. Nothing. You HAVE to be right and correct 100% of the time, or you're off the dial.

If you're White and anything else but a Republican or Conservative (politically or in daily practice) - you can be forgiven. Barely, but you'll be forgiven...

If you're anything else but White - free ticket to idiocy - say what you want - use the "n" word - use the "j" word - call anyone/everything a "mofo" and skate free.

It's your "heritage" and no one, not even "The Man" is going to tell you what's what.

The "Huckster" was making an ill-thought-out ad-lib about BO...pardon the pun, but that sucker back-fired.

One thing about the NRA...they take anyone in as members and that also includes Democrats, Black, Yellows, Indian (native and foreign) and once in a while some Independents...anyone that has a LOVE for real FREEDOM and GUNS. And I suppose, one of those "members" got its knickers in a twist and thought it would be a "sound-bite" for the daily-snooze...

Anyone, whether they are a national figure, or some local hack that thinks he's a "know-it-all," that belongs to an organization that fights against what the NRA stands for is, rightfully so, a "target" for derision.

When was the last time a joke killed anyone? Even a bad one? (The comedian, maybe..but not the listener!!)

But, it's a shame that we still have to be PC in public 'cause there's too many nanny-gate panty-waists around that still can't take a joke, let alone understand and get a joke...

Oh well, when your side is loosing, you just have to go for the cheap shots.

In the meantime...listen "vairwee carefuwy" for any humor on the Democractic/Liberal side...but don't waste too much time...they're taking themselves too seriously...and that's the problem with them...
