urine test

I had to go and get a random test for the Coast Guard last week.

This came to mind and I'm sure that Lim, Bot, and MGB will enjoy it:

I HAVE TO PASS A URINE TEST FOR MY JOB... SO I AGREED 100%

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job--I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work. . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check!? Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though . . . Something has to change in this country -- and soon!

WHAT AN IDEA!!!!!!!!

The Welfare Reform Act already authorizes drug testing for recipients, but leaves it up to the states to make it a requirement for eligibility. The major impediment is the cost effectiveness of drug testing. Being poor doesn't mean being a drug user for the vast majority on welfare.

I love it!

But even better, get rid of welfare all together!:D;)

That was posted here a couple months ago and stirred up some discussion. I like the idea.

Sir, I'm going to recommend you for a raise in salary!

Get rid of welfare, social security and all other government aided funds.

Not that I expect anyone to know the answer but that brings up an question. My cousin is applying for a job that requires him to get a full drug screen, peeing in a cup in addition to taking a hair sample to test for past drug use. I can't see ever needing to do such a thing, but what would the alternative to hair analysis be for a person like myself with Alopecia universalis? Do I have carte blanche to live it up as long as I pluck the occasional hair or two? :D

I believe a body fat analysis can detect drugs far longer than other tests.

Dammit, way too much evidence there. I'll have to remember to go on a crash diet before my next security clearance eval. :D

I agree.

But, unfortunately…medical staffing, recurrent training, organizing, distributing, required medical supplies, gathering, logging, transporting to labs, testing, organizing results, compiling, dealing with people claiming there’s been a mistake, etc. etc. etc. would cost a hell of a lot more than just giving all the lazy asses the money in the first place.
