Just got this link from my military vehicle club... Gotta love a 400mm lens!

Thank you for sharing those. I've never heard of an event with so many flying warbirds. You normally need to go to a museum to see half that many in one place on static display.

Fantastic pictures....

Anybody know the status of the warbirds out at Breckenridge Texas? Tornado hit out there a couple months back. News said that Ezell's hanger was demolished and warbirds were damaged, but they never gave any specifics. I wonder about Howard Pardue's Bearcat and Lefty Gardner's old P-38 "White Lightning".

I used to go to Dayton every July for the International Expo. They had a fine assortment of warbirds including B-24's, Super Constellations and even a B-29 and a British 4 engine Lanchaster bomber with RR engines that sounded like a flight of Mustangs all by itself. The rumble of the planes waiting to taxi was incredible!

I was at Costco in Chino Hills shopping, and when I walked in, I could see those airplanes flying overhead.

It was really loud, and everyone in the parking lot was looking up.

I wondered if they were flying out of Chino or Bracket Field in La Verne.

Wonderful photography. Those planes take me back to my balsawood_model_plane_building days in the '40s. Thanks for the memories.

That was a very late production Spitefire, I forget the model or why they did that. I want to say it was for ground attack and the chopped tips were to reduce stress or something like that, but I'm not sure.

Awsome pictures! I loved the Black Sheep Squadron show, I wish they would play it again.

I loved that show, used to build balsa models as I watched it!
