Article concerning Undocumented People in the US

This article enlightened me. It seems once an immigrant gets into the US he can do anything a US citizen can do, except vote.
A tourist card is the ticket to life in the US. Certainly customs and immigration people know these gentleman aren't bona fide tourists

I had no idea illegal aliens with bogus Social Security cards actually paid into Social Security.

I also was surprised to see that border patrol agents(limones verdes) patrol San Antonio. My grandparents live down in Houston and never mentioned this. Do limones verdes patrol other Texas towns as well? Interesting how the Spanish radio stations warn people about checks.

The part about Mexican-Americans pretending not to understand Spanish in a power play game is something I wouldn't have expected.

If they can get a drivers liccense without papers what's the big deal about illegal aliens getting licenses?

Oh yes, I thought the coyote was the gentleman who was in charge of the entire smuggling process, turns out he only organizes transport with the US? Does anyone know what the gentleman who actually gets them across the border is called?

Undocumented People is a nice PC phrase. Someone said that Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented person" is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist. I think there are benefits you cannot get as a tourist that a citizen can have.

Not all do but they aren't talking about paying big bucks into it either. Just steal a SS number or make one up and that "covers" the employer. OTOH, their cost for services for their "anchor baby" and other things does add up.

Why not? It is an "I'm better than you and I am going to force you to look stupid." People are still people.

I think a lot of places are tightening down on giving out IDs like candy.

Yes, criminals!

They are NOT "undocumented people" they are "illegal aliens", with emphasis on ILLEGAL!

Phoenix is bursting to capacity from these "free loaders".
A thing they do is wait untill their wives are ready to give birth, sneak them to the U.S. and have them born "for free" in our hospitals at Arizona tax payers expense!

Arizonans hate illegals! They ROB millions of dollars from us!

The genesis of this idea has great potential.

Why don't say,50 or so unemployed U.S.citizens,college graduates no less, sneak across the border into Mexico and seek office work for food and shelter.

Let's not stop there. They should demand free healthcare, education for their illegal alien brood of minors, all,in fact that the "undocumented workers"from south'O the border have extorted or been given by a complicit, corrupt infrastructure in this nation.

Believe me, they wouldn't be as tolerant as the U.S. has been! You would go directly to one of their crummy ass jails and rot!

In their hospitals, if you can't pay first, no treatment! Broken arm, broken leg, doesn't matter!

Finally someone points out something they are doing right.

Maybe we need more laws to outlaw it.

Or how about a radical idea. ENFORCE THOSE WE ALREADY HAVE.

We are trying...

Believe me we are trying to fix this.

1) US Citizens and Immigration Service (CIS) has requested that Employers run all SSNs through a website that checks the validity of the SSN (Social Security Number) However we get a lot of push back from employers as well as advocacy groups. States like Arizona have made using this web site a requirement and the number of illegals has gone down -- they have moved to "safe haven" states like Minnesota where the State Government actually interferes with the Federal government going after illegals.

2) CIS is using biometrics now to authenticate people applying for visas. You now need to swipe both index fingers and have your face scanned. This is leading to a lot of people who come in illegally and then boldly go into a CIS office and apply for a 'green card'

3) The Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) has stopped doing "Catch and Release" whrere they collect illegals and simply throw them back over the border. We are trying to make sure that they do not return over the border by arresting them the second time they are caught and putting them into the Justice System for prosecution.

4) The Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is also targeting employers who hire the illegals.

5) ICE has also started initiatives whereby the local police are authorized to check immigration status when they arrest somebody and then turn over any illegals to ICE. This initiative has led to many deportations for little cost.

6) There is an ititiative to have all 50 states issue "SMART-IDs" These are ID cards such as driver's licenses that are biometrically secure and only issued when the requestor has proper documentation. ( this is to stop both illegals terrorists from gaining legal id cards) and States such as WV have adopted the SMART-ID and seen their enforcement costs go down. However Maine lowered it's documentation requirements to just showing up with a PO box receipt in retaliation!

There are many other things going on at the Federal level that are designed to stop the influx of illegals and to secure us from terrorists.

as seen from the other side

I've seen a little bit of it from the "other" side, as my wife was from Peru, and had a lot of relatives.

I went to a LOT of trouble, but did secure a Tourist Visa (all he needed was one for 90 days) for my father in law, who was a retired Police commander for Southern Peru. He had no real income, but I showed we could take care of him while he was with us In San Francisco.

We took him all over California, Disneyland, Las Vegas, Oregon. But he thought the country was strange, though he liked it and the people were friendly. (He could not speak a word of English, but we talked Spanish, to him and it worked)

He said he had never seen so many fat people.

He said Americans sure eat strange things for breakfast. He ate the waffles, pop tarts and donuts without complaint, but he wanted fish, rice and fried eggs on top of it, like back home in Peru.

One trip to the USA was enough for him, but he did have a good time.

But other relatives came over on tourist visas that I did not get for them, and once here, just melted into the population, it is so easy, especially in places like LA, SF, Miami, Phoenix and Houston.

One guy, Nestor, came from Peru through the SA gateway, Miami, and just never went back. Just disappeared, last I heard he was in Texas.
He was a great guy, a University Professor in Peru, belonged to a Country Club and took me to the best places in Lima that were high class, ultra exculsive.

We went clubbing at night, to all the fun bars and clubs, about 7 or 8 of us in his 1983 VW beetle (they still made them in Brazil) and we would all get crazy drunk on Pisco Sours.

We would party to 3 or 4 am, and you could go to the beach at 3-4 am, and people had these stands right on the beach, where they would sell you Pisco Sours, and other alcoholic drinks.

The parties in Peru would NEVER end.

Nobody cared if you drove drunk. Car insurance whats that

Good times in Peru for me

There's a gentleman from Brazil who moved here to the US three years ago with his wife and 2 little kids. Everyone says they probably entered on a tourist visa and stayed illegally, who knows. My mom tends to think they were just wealthy Brazilians who got green cards and made the move. Anyway he just had a baby and now people are saying they had the baby to make it easier for them to stay in the US if they get caught. Evidentally if illegals have a child born here they can't get deported.

With all that then our own Title VII CRA of 1964 gets in the way.
