Question Need advice

Hello all

I bought an 86 300 SDL with it`s new (rebuilt) head......in the trunk

The old head was cracked, so the previous owner bought the rebuilt one, and gave up after a while, and sold it to me as-is.

Now it`s my job to put it back together, and the only thing i did was install the gasket and tightened the bold with the torque wrench.

My question to you all is: What the heck do i do next, since i wasn`t there when they removed it, and, even tough all the parts and bolts and nuts are neatly arranged in 3 or 4 boxes, i don`t know where they all go....

Please help, please...

A torque wrench isn't the way to do it. It must be tightened using the torque+angle method.

Actually, that`s the way i did

I torqued initially at 15Nm i believe, then at 35Nm, then at 90 degrees angle, waited for 10 minutes, and then again at another 90 degrees.

Post your location. Hopefully there is someone here that is near to you, and can help with visual recognition of stuff. Its hard to reassemble what someone else took apart, especially if you are not familiar with the pieces.

Did you post this in the "Diesel" section?
Some of those guys are sharp, and avoid slumming down here in OD.
