Just a bit of smoke!

As in from Oregon to LA! The entire Big Valley is smoke filled, and down the coast into Orange County as well. It must be purely hell on the ground close in to the fires - lots of respect for the firefighters working on this.

sat pics with zoom feature.

That satellite image was apparently taken when the wind was blowing from the east. Most other times when it's blowing from the west the smoke goes much further inland including where I live. The local news said last week our air was the worst in the last 22 years. It was really bad.

The last couple days it's been smoky in Carson City. I don't really mind, I'm a smoker anyway and I also used to live in Atlanta, which was regularly just as bad, and not from fires.

Has cleared up quite a bit IMO during the last 3 days in the Bay Area. Still not good by any means, but better.

Earlier in the week i didn't see Mt Diablo (~4200') for 3 days running and I live at its base 6.5 miles away.
