Anheuser-Busch was singlehandedly responsible for the virtual lack of microbreweries/regional beers in the United States due to their exclusivity rules binding their distributors which have only recently been repealed under intense market pressure.

I'm glad to see them be bought out by the people who do beer right, and hopefully their product line will be "consolidated" and the worst of the offenders removed.

So what's worse? Starbucks or Anheuser Busch?

I couldn't agree more on the quality of the beer. It's just sad to see another piece of Americana slip away for whatever reason. The people in St. Louis have good reason to be worried about their jobs. Supposedly InBev is into extreme cost cutting. I can't see how that will make your next bottle of Bud a finer brew.

That said, I've always hated when sponsored events only offer over-priced Bud Light (blehhh!)

Budlight with lime is worse. Its the flavor of the month around here, and sucks, I don't get it.

Luckly around here we have a handfull of very good microbrews.

Budweiser has been rat whizz for years. Hopefully the foreign investors will pull a Chrysler, take a beer bath, then sell it at a severe discount to American investors. Who, of course, will then break the company up and sell it in parts.
