Uh huh...! As usual, cops ALWAYS try to blame the victim! Just as they will in this case to avoid getting their a$$ fired.
It works alot of the times... cops lying for other cops! This video should hang a few of the ba$tards. |

This little rant doesn't really seem to apply to the situation based on the information at hand. Just a blanket opinion doubtfully based in any experience other than a minor traffic ticket or two.

Is it common for the police to videotape such things these days? That's what surprised me. If they knew they were on camera, why would they act in such a way as to lose their jobs or worse?

You know, there are hundreds of these on youtube, infowars.com, etc, etc. SERVANTS are not supposed to have this kind of authority in the first place. She called for help and gets carted away? Get used to it. Even MTV tries to warn people now. |

It is not only common place, but likely a required procedure. A 1983 atty's dream if not taped. I don't know that they will lose their jobs or worse--that tape is only a snippet. Linked to a domestic disturbance albeit the supposed victim, I doubt that woman went along peacefully with the police.

I believe someone else called on her behalf and told the dispatcher she was the victim. I have been involved in many situations where a pissed off wife called the police and made a bogus DV report, since our State started requiring mandatory 24 hrs. in jail. Not saying that is what happened here, but I still say there is very little present in that tape to pass on which to pass judgment.

That search seems way too intrusive.
At best, they had probable cause to search for weapons. Once they have her down to her panties and bra, they can adequately conduct a search for weapons. If they have probable cause to search for drugs, then they can do a body cavity search. It doesn't sound like they had reason to suspect that she was concealing drugs. |

Big ego + low I.Q. + small peni$ + small paycheck + gun , + some authority over nice people = BIG TROUBLE for everyone. Even the dumba$$ cop!

I kind of feel the same way about those road rage types that secretly wish they were cops, and go out of their way to try to 'teach people lessons.'

I just don't think it's necessary ("reasonable") to remove panties and bra to search for a weapon. Could she possibly be hiding a weapon in her panties or bra that is undetectable while her panties and bra are on? I don't think so. At MOST, a pat down search is sufficient when she is down to her panties and bra....even that is pushing it, imo. Last edited by willy2004; 07-15-2008 at 05:23 PM. |

Ink pin, pencil, shoe lace, broken glass, ect.....
Most interesting one I have seen, is a guy who got his jugular slashed in jail by another inmate who had taken a cigarette filter, peeled off the paper, and melted it into a shank (it looked like and was the same size as the blade of an exacto knife). I thought, "that must have taken years to perfect...." Until I tried it and it took me about ten minutes to draw the filter out into a blade using a lighter for heat. |
