Atlanta for wings from J.R. Cricket's, and barbeque from Fat Matt's, and of course Waffle House. And Madras Saravana Bhavan, and that Chinese place on Ponce, and How Well Dragon, and Thai One On, and Charlie G's Pub.

And then maybe get some grease from the Varsity just to remind myself why I DON'T miss that place.

The food in Atlanta is way way ahead of anything in this area, with the exception of Mexican food, good examples of which are plentiful here. Might have something to do with all the Mexicans.

I had sushi in Japan (ok, it was Okinawa which I guess is like a Japanese going to Guam and saying he's been to the U.S.), and it was just ok. The best sushi I've had was at Sushi Ichiban around the corner from NCBC Port Hueneme north of LA.

In the five years I lived in Midtown, I always meant to try Mary Mac's, but I never did get around to it.

Lve close to SF and have lived in Tokyo as well; I'd personally go back to Bar Harbor, Maine and have another fresh 3lb Lobster for lunch on the Pier.

Back to Cape May to eat Lobster at the "Lobster House"

Back to Highlands, NJ to eat at my favorite restaurant Chilangos The guy is a five star chef and the place was at the end of my street! I would just say "Hey Leo, make me something" and itwas always fantastic!

Back to Hyde Park, NY to eat at the Eveready Diner (it was featured on the Food Network for it's bakery and fresh food)

Back to Chelsea (22nd and 8th Ave in NYC) for

1) Spice -- Thai food

2) Cuba Libre (self explanatory)

The list goes on and on and on...

Somebody should make a compilation guide from this site
