I think they would be a horrible work vehicle. My fil has a surplus blazer and dodge power wagon on his farm. That is about all they are good for. Nobody even wants to drive them on the road to go to the liquor store ten miles away!

I once thought about buying an Army ambulance. It looked like a left over from the Korean War. I think it got about 6-8 MPG. It seemed too expensive to operate and that was in 1971, when gas was around $0.30 a gallon!

ide swap out the 850 cubes of dog for a early 24 valve civilian thang! It does got an allison automatic .
