America wins!

Obama wins, House Republicans win, the Senate is mixed. America wins.

Another two years of gridlock, which is exactly what we need.

Within two to three years, the US will be a net petroleum exporter and the economy will boom. If all Democrats had been elected, petroleum exploraration would stop and we would still have to import oil. If all Republicans were elected, wind, solar and renewable energy sources would stop and we would still have to import oil.

Obama will be credited with a boom economy in his last four years, though his policies had nothing to do with it other than counterbalancing the other extreme.

I'm glad that I am situated near the epicenter of the new boom. The first US natural gas export facility will be built about four miles from my home.

Sprun, exactly. Keep us high paid petroleum, and energy workers working! After all some has to pay taxes so all these poor people can continue to live as good of a life as the people that work for a living. I might have to pick up a second job to pay for my free healthcare..........

Nuclear, renewable, and hydroelectric workers are also highly paid. And, unlike you, work at jobs where they can sleep soundly at night if they have a conscience.

Congratulations to the President. May he truly work at uniting us, and not further dividing us. The results show that we are pretty evenly divided on many issues. Now is the time for dems to show their love of country and reach out to work with repubs for the mutual good. I say that because dems control 2/3 of the law-making process, if those numbers were reversed, I'd call on repubs to take the initiative in reaching out.
The President has the opportunity to LEAD. He needs to sell his vision rather than resort to the arrogance of Executive Orders, work with Congressional leaders rather than ignore them. He has the opportunity to become a great President. Its time for him to become a Statesman.
Unite this people.

Don't worry, they won't be forgotten by those who use them.

Very well said MS. I truly hope that he can step up as a Statesman as you suggest.

America wins because we had a free and fair election -- a chance at peaceful transfer of power. A choice made by an informed electorate. Good for us all.

That is indeed true Bot. The result of the election is one thing, but the fact that in America, at least so far, we have a peaceful process is INDEED a good thing.

You mean to work with the republicans who from day one said that their only job was to see Obama as a one term president?

it is highly ****ing unlikely that Barry Soweto is going to be able or willing to do that... it will alienate his base...

Mitch McConnell tried, but couldn't deliver.

As for "working together" . . . platitudes aside, shouldn't it be all elected officials, the President, the Speaker, the Majority and Minority Whips . . . all the way down the line?

Other winners . . .

Donald Trump, who kept his brand alive with very little money spent, compared to other 1 Percenter chumps.

Chris Christie, whose moderate Republican stock just kept climbing all year, without being a candidate.

Medical science. Take that Todd Akin.
