Absolutely correct, Migs are extremely difficult planes to fly but once you master them, they reward the pilot with manoeuvres thats unmatched by any. The engine used in Migs is fantastic when it comes to thrust ratio and spool time. Same goes for the thrust vectoring Sukhoi 31. Sadly most of them ended up in countries which could hardly fly them let alone engage in a dogfight. Years back during 1971 war with Pakistan, Indian pilots humbled the then mighty Super Sabres with an unknown British sub sonic Gnat. The Gnat could manouvre better and the fact that Pakistan Air Force pilots were poorly trained didn't help either.

Lets also not forget to include Mirage's in this. I'm going to have to look this up but I think the Mirage III and its derivatives have seen action in more conflict then any other jet fighter (The Mig-21 is another possibility)
