Jackson is hurting his own candidate! Good!

Sometimes there is an opposite backlash and people feel sorry for those that are "badtalked". I don't think so in this case though...

The black community listens to Jackson... right or wrong.

Richard Pryor had a great routine about why only blacks can use the "N-world."

Jackson helped Obama. This gives Obama another opportunity to separate himself from old-style race politics.

It took Wright to say outrageous things for Obama to come out in a display of deep anguish to dissociate himself from Wright. Now Wright is very quiet.

That same pattern will emerge with Jackson. Obama has to be more careful in his repudiation since Jackson has a large and vocal following.

Nuance. Look for it.

He didn't have to, he's doing it by proxy. We are going to see same thing on the repub side, an outsider distancing McCain from W, the question is who will it be, so far Rush Limbaugh is my guess maybe even someone from the Whitehouse.

The black community listens to Jackson, right or wrong.

The damage has been done...

The black community as a whole is hyper-sensitive, hyper-aware.

The idea that there is a single ethnic voting block, regardless of other issues . . . is probably wrong.

The folks that follow Jesse Jackson and his uber-sensitive racial stance are also disgusted with Bill Cosby's stance on some of the same issues.

While we are far from eliminating racism in this country (other ehtnic groups included), I think the time has come for folks to own up to admitting that their ultimate outcomes rest on their own shoulders...but it's easier to sit back and expect others to fix things, all the while complaining about the results.

Uh, where were you for months after Wright's comments were exposed.

It did not take wrights comments to get obama to to dissassociate himself from Wright.
Obama was not bothered by it at all until.....he started getting pressure from the media left after talk radio demanded answers and put some serious pressure on Obama's campain, only then did he finally distance himself from Wright.

Obama still could not answer why he was a member of that church for so long and denied ever hearing any racial bogotry from his wonderful Pastor......
bullcrap., and I was just born yesterday.

I think if my pastor were a bigot, I would know it after 20 years, don't you think?

But there are those supporters who will believe anything their candidate "says" even if the truth is staring them in the face.

But I'm paranoid/delusional because Rich C says so. ha, ha.

I've read and listened to Wright's comments, and I didn't gather any racial bigotry from anything he said...he's sharp, quick witted and speaks his mind, but that's about it.

What's different about this race is just that...race. With two white candidates, there are no "black" factions to contend with...with this one, suddenly we have polarized views, and Obama has to remain neutral...therefore distancing himself from anyone that picks a faction...
